What is the Smoky Mountain Geek Expo?

The Geek Expo is Waynesville, NC's premiere family-friendly pop-culture convention. We will bring guests, artists, and vendors to satisfy your geeky hunger! Our October expo is usually the weekend before Halloween—prime fall color season with the Great Smoky Mountains surrounding our communities.

What to expect.

Expect an array of vendors, artists, and guests. Dressing up in your favorite character's cosplay is strongly encouraged. There will be a cosplay contest between 1 pm and 2 pm. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! We will have tables for gaming; bring your favorite game or campaign and join us with friends! We will have a variety of food trucks on-site, along with a snack bar located inside.

Cosplay Rules

Cosplay is an exciting way for fans to express their love for their favorite characters. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have a few rules:

- No weapons allowed! All props will be inspected at one of our ticket booths.

- Please keep your costumes tasteful. Remember, this is a family event, so costumes should be suitable for all ages.

- Cosplayers should not be crowded or approached closely. Always ask for permission before taking a picture.
